I spent hours on Facebook Thursday night debating the color of a dress with three of my friends. And their friends. The Internet blew up Thursday February 26 when the photo of one dress caused millions of people to see it in four different colors.
I saw it in white and gold. But there were plenty of people who disagreed saying THEY saw it in black and blue. What? Clearly it was white and gold! Right? This is the first picture I saw. White and Gold.
Then I did some research and found out the name of the company that made it. And that it was listed on Amazon as BLACK AND BLUE! What?!
Here is the picture as it appears on Amazon:
The more articles I read about the dress, the more my friends and I just couldn’t agree. One article said you see the colors depending on your mood. Another one said it depended on how your eyes process color. Ugh!
So here’s what I determined in the end. I like the dress in white and gold. I could totally see some fabulous fashionista wearing it with a big, white summer hat, super cute strappy sandals, big Chanel sunnies and carrying a cute purse. In Miami.
So maybe it’s not just beauty that’s in the eye of the beholder. It’s color too.
What colors do you see?
